Any reasons for optimism?

• Erosion of legitimacy and support for GK, especially the finance version.
• As in Patmos, the mere conversation starts a countertendency. Forces strong but at local level.
• Nel seems defeated for good. Regional pacts and bilateral agreements may replace BW and globalization.
• Wind and solar energy are making breakthroughs.

And for pessimism:

1. CC has happened.
2. Trigger of peak oil has not hit markets
3. All forecasts exceeded by events.

3/18/2011: Started build with ee legacy and Schumpeter. Seek milder form of global capitalism and defeat of nel. Will upset idealists but stresses pragmatism, typical of me. Builds on strategic skills and analysis. Openly acknowedge that ESS 1.0 fell short, did not identify a strategy.
